Organized in 1892, the Connecticut Daughters of the American Revolution has forty-two chapters and more than 2,300 members. The CTDAR owns and operates several historic sites throughout the state, including the Governor Jonathan Trumbull House, the Wadsworth Stable Museum, the Oliver Ellsworth Homestead, Matthies Hall, and the Washington Oak Tree Park. These sites promote historic preservation, conservation, and patriotism through educational tours, events, and programs.
